Initially, Mr. Conwell started his career with Knight Armament Co. as a manufacturing engineer where he was responsible for tooling and fixture design along with CNC programming. Mr. Cornwell is happy to announce since his promotion to the automation department no jobs were lost and production has more than doubled. Earlier in his career, Mr. Cornwell worked as a project engineer for EMF, Inc. where he was responsible for the updated design of NASA's launch abort rocket integration trailer, which he completed and delivered on time.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Cornwell gained valuable expertise in executive and engineering positions with such companies as ISO Group, Inc., Custom Industrial Products, Hi-Velocity Technology LLC, CVEC Inc., Tecker Mold Inc., Michigan Career Institute, Tennant Company, and East Detroit Public Schools. Throughout his career, Mr. Cornwell has designed a wide range of mechanical products and received several domestic and foreign utility patents. Driven to stay abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Cornwell aligns himself with SAE international.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Cornwell earned his master's degree in automotive, truck and motorcycle technology through Michigan Career Institute, Ford Motor Company Training and Harley Davidson University. The areas of study encompassed all facets of their drive train along with electrical systems in both gas and diesel engine. Subsequently, he expanded upon his knowledge through coursework in business, marketing, English, mechanical design, and drafting at Macomb Community College and electrical, electronics, and hydraulics at Tennant Company Training. Additionally, Mr. Cornwell holds a private pilot's license, a certificate in AutoCAD design from Eastern Florida State College, and several other certifications through the MMI Institute and Allan Bradley PLC Training.
In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Cornwell was honored on the President's list at Eastern Florida State College.
