During the early stages of his career, Mr. Dearin gained valuable expertise as a French and life science teacher for Arlington Christian School, where he also served as a track coach. Similarly, he served as a French teacher and yearbook sponsor with Mars Hill Bible School. Alongside his work, he is a steadfast supporter of National Public Radio. Likewise, Mr. Dearin aligns himself with the National Education Association, the National Science Teachers Association, and the Georgia Association of Educators.
An expert in his field, Mr. Dearin received a Bachelor of Arts in French with a minor in biology and a Master of Education in French and mass communications from Harding University in 1988 and 1989. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a George Teaching Certificate in biology for grades seven through 12 and French for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. In light of his outstanding body of work, Mr. Dearin has been honored on several occasions, earning several Teacher of the Month and Teacher of the Year Awards through Mundy's Mill High School. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, he credits his success to his strong work ethic and his parents, who have remained attentive and supportive throughout his life. Looking forward, Mr. Dearin intends to remain in the field of public education and pursue an education specialist degree.
