CDR Davidson received more than a dozen different awards from the United States Public Health Service.

Celebrating more than two decades of expertise in the medical field, CDR Davidson has distinguished herself as a registered nurse specializing in surgical nursing and correctional health care. Having served as senior complex health program manager for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Correctional Complex, in Coleman, Florida, since 2022, she is considered a subject matter expert in the credentialing process at the largest BOP institution in the country. In addition to managing approximately 150 health care staff credential files, she is responsible for tracking the health care of approximately 7,000 inmates. CDR Davidson also performs vaccinations and tuberculin skin testing, tracks infection control measures for inmates and staff, and, among a myriad of other responsibilities, reviews patients' reports and reports communicable diseases to the State of Florida.
CDR Davidson's history in corrections began in 2003 as a staff nurse at the Federal Medical Center in Butner, North Carolina. She was subsequently hired as a senior clinical nurse at the U.S. Penitentiary of Atlanta from 2007 to 2012, and as a senior clinical nurse and program management officer at the Federal Detention Center of Miami between 2012 and 2014. Furthermore, CDR Davidson functioned as a clinical nurse and a program management officer at the Federal Correctional Complex, Coleman, from 2015 to 2022 before being promoted to her present position.
Outside of her commitments with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, CDR Davidson garnered experience as a travel nurse, having worked in both New York and North Carolina. She also held a professional appointment at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. More recently, CDR Davison has participated as a guest speaker at area high schools, conferences, and career fairs on various topics since 2019. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, she frequently volunteers her time to her local food ministry. She is also active with The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program and Wreaths Across America during the Christmas holiday.
To prepare for her career in health care, CDR Davidson earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude, from the State University of New York in 1998 and a Master of Public Health, with honors, from the University of Massachusetts in 2019. She also received credentials as a registered nurse in North Carolina and designation as a certified correctional health professional. To remain aware of developments in the industry, CDR Davidson participates in ongoing educational courses and annual training. She also remains a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Recognized for her achievements, CDR Davidson received more than a dozen different awards from the United States Public Health Service, including an Achievement Medal and a Hazardous Duty Award in 2022. She previously received the Hazardous Duty Award in 2004, as well as a Humanitarian Service Award in 2018, a Unit Commendation in 2017, a Presidential Unit Citation in 2016, and, among others, an Achievement Medal in 2015. Moreover, CDR Davidson received accolades from numerous other organizations and individuals, including a multitude of Letters and Certificates of Appreciation between 2017 and 2022.
