Colonel Green has deployed overseas on seven tours of combat /conflict duty, resulting in the awarding of the Combat Action Badge and the Bronze Star Medal.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Green gained valuable expertise with Verizon as an Assistant General Counsel, Director of Global Procurement, Director of National Fleet Operations and Supply Chain Services, and Director of Procurement and Materials Management Operations. Before Verizon, he was the Vice President of Procurement and Logistics at Alltel Wireless. He has also honed his vast sourcing, logistics, management, and supplier advocacy skills through the DFW Minority Supplier Development Council, Alltel Wireless, Entergy, RTI International, Nortel Networks, and IBM. Outside his work, Mr. Green is associated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Reserve Organization of America, and the Military Order of the World Wars.
An expert in many fields, Mr. Green earned a Bachelor of Arts in Purchasing and Operations Management from Michigan State University in 1993 and a graduate certificate in Market and Management Studies from Duke University three years later. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University, an MBA from Auburn University's Harbert College of Business, a Master of Strategic Studies from The United States Army War College, a Master of Laws in Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications Law from the University of Nebraska College of Law, and a graduate of the National Security Management Course from Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is also a US Army War College, US Naval War College (Naval Command & Staff Course), Army Command & General Staff Officer Course, Special Operations Legal Advisor Course, Air Assault, Airborne, Modern Army Combatives, Special Operations Combatives, and Sniper qualified. To further his education, he is pursuing a Master of Arts in International Relations and Security Studies from Harvard University's Extension School.
Due to his vast breadth of National Security Law advising Commanders during combat operations, Colonel Green authored "Flintlock 2016: Joint Multinational Headquarters." Recognizing his professional achievements, he was named the Outstanding Senior at Michigan State University, was selected as the Graduation Marshall for Auburn University Graduate School as well as the top leadership award during his US Army Officer Candidate School.
