Before gaining such a robust foundation in hospitality management, Mr. Muhammad's professional journey began in the military, where he served as a rank specialist truck driver in the Army National Guard from 1989 to 1993. While serving in the Army National Guard, Mr. Muhammad devoted time to his academic endeavors and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating in 1993. This education has been fundamental to his success, providing him with critical thinking and communication skills essential for his leadership roles, and prompted his transition from military service to the hospitality industry as a result of his initial interest in audio-visual work, which eventually led him to embrace broader opportunities within hotels. Beyond his roles within established organizations, Mr. Muhammad is also an entrepreneur, having founded his own staffing agency Liamzoey.com. This venture showcases his versatility and ability to identify and fill gaps within the hospitality sector.
Alongside his professional life, Mr. Muhammad is deeply committed to giving back to the community through volunteer work with nonprofit organizations and is a devoted family man with two daughters and two sons.
