Established in 2024, he applies his vast management and data science knowledge to improve business decisions. Spring Creek Blooms LLC sells its products wholesale to florists and market boutiques and offers weekly flower bouquet subscriptions and wedding arrangements, amongst other special events. Additionally, Dr. Dimastromatteo has found success as the co-owner of the Blue Ridge Soccer Academy in Charlottesville, Virginia, since 2018, offering individual and group soccer training lessons.
Before joining Dominion Cannabinoids, Dr. Dimastromatteo was the vice president of research at Adovate, where he focused on advancing research initiatives. He was also the vice president of research at the publicly traded company Adial Pharmaceuticals and Purnovate Inc., an Adial company. Dr. Dimastromatteo also upheld the vice president of business operations role at Adial Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded company where he managed various administrative functions. His journey with Adial Pharmaceuticals began as an administrative manager, marking his entry into the pharmaceutical industry's corporate side.
Significant contributions to academic and clinical research also mark Dr. Dimastromatteo's career. He was a principal scientific officer consultant at Zielbio Inc., where his collaboration with Dr. Kimberly Kelly led to the co-invention of ZB131, a monoclonal antibody targeting Plectin-1 for cancer treatment. This work is among his proudest achievements, showing promising results in reducing tumors and currently undergoing clinical trials. Additionally, Dr. Dimastromatteo was an instructor of research at the University of Virginia School of Medicine after serving as a research associate at the Experimental Nuclear Cardiology & Molecular Imaging Lab, mentored by Dr. David Glover, dating back to 2010.
Highly educated, Dr. Dimastromatteo graduated from Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble, France, with a license degree in cellular biology and physiology in 2003, a master's degree in medical imaging in 2005, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in biomedical engineering in 2010 obtained under the direction of Dr. Laurent Riou.
Deeply involved in professional and civic activities, Dr. Dimastromatteo has been a moderator and guest speaker for the World Molecular Imaging Society since 2015 and has been inducted into Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society.
