Mr. Huizenga has established himself through a distinguished, multifaceted career for over 50 years. Since 2004, he has been representing Deacon Associates in Phoenix as a managing principal, leveraging his experience to provide strategic consulting services to companies on developing global strategies in Asia and Europe. Earlier, Mr. Huizenga was instrumental as the chief executive officer at Kurdziel Industries from 1994 to 2003. Recognized as a leading manufacturer of large counterweights across North America for the material handling, construction, and aerial-lifting equipment industries, the company was later acquired by Monomoy Partners.

Mr. Huizenga's career is a testament to his unwavering commitment and dedication. His earlier roles included serving as the president of Larson Foundries between 1988 and 1994 and Cedar Springs Castings Inc. from 1977 to 1988. He also made a mark as the vice president of trust operations at Old Kent Bank & Trust in Grand Rapids, Michigan, between 1968 and 1977, a position he held after joining the institution in 1968.

In addition to his primary career endeavors, Mr. Huizenga has held numerous board positions, showcasing his broad industry knowledge and commitment. Since 2012, he has been a pivotal board member at EQI Ltd., an Atlas Holdings company and a leading global provider of critical supply chain management services. His tenure at EQI began in 2012, a testament to his long-term commitment and influence within the company. Mr. Huizenga has also been an active board member for Pridgeon & Clay since 2007. These roles follow his role as the chair at The Midmarket Institute from 2010 to 2013. Earlier in his career, Mr. Huizenga chaired the Lorain County Manufacturing Council between 1992 and 1994 and served on Gulf Oil's government advisory council from 1982 to 1986.

Mr. Huizenga graduated from high school in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1964. Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor of Science in economics and marketing from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, laying the foundation for his successful manufacturing and business leadership career.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Huizenga has been actively involved in various professional and civic organizations. He was a member of the American Institute of Banking, where he served as the president in 1976. Mr. Huizenga is also active in the American Foundry Society, and served as President from 2001 to 2002. In addition, he represented the American Foundry industry on the World Foundry Organization board from 2000-2012, and served as President from 2010 through 2012. He received the Keating Foundations Freedom award in 1996 and the Jozef Suchy medal for meritorious service to the Global Foundry Industry in 2022. He was a past member of the Economic Club of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Earlier in his career, he served on the Rockford Ambulance Co. board in Michigan, was active on the Western Michigan University advisory board for the college of engineering and applied sciences, served on the Grand Rapids chapter of the American Cancer Society, was on the board of directors of the Cedar Springs Chamber of Commerce, and served in various leadership positions for the Lorain County United Way, Rotary Club International, and Lions Club International. Most honorably, Mr. Huizenga served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1968 to 1974, further exemplifying his dedication to service and leadership.
