Between 2011 and 2015, he served as the senior director of engineering at Nipro Diagnostics, focusing on advancing diabetes care technologies. In addition to his corporate roles, Mr. Modzelewski was an Internet pioneer and co-founded Dactyl Technologies LLC in 1997 and remained a business partner until 2010. His early career included positions as a systems analyst at CEP Systems Inc. from 1992 to 1994 and as a software engineer at ABB Combustion Engineering between 1991 and 1992.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Modzelewski earned a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from the University of Hartford in 1992. Subsequently, he earned a master's degree in electrical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1997. His academic achievements have been complemented by certifications, including being a certified scrum master from Scrum Alliance and having a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt designation through the South Florida Manufacturers Association in 2013. Additionally, while fueling his passion as a sommelier, Mr. Modzelewski garnered a level II certification in wine and spirits through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust and self-published A Message in a Bottle Wine Journal. As a third degree black belt, Mr. Modzelewski was a Tae Kwon Do instructor between 2008 to 2015.
Mr. Modzelewski's professional affiliations reflect his commitment to excellence in engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society.
