Her expertise has been instrumental in elevating the practice of pharmacy and expanding outpatient pharmacy services, including specialty pharmacy retail, medication hubs, home infusion, and central distribution.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Camejo held numerous roles of high leadership at Memorial Healthcare System, where she advanced from the position of administrative director of pharmacy services to vice president of specialty and pharmacy services. Previously, she availed herself as the director of pharmacy and regional manager at Broward General Medical Center, where she had begun as a resident of administrative pharmacy in 1999. She attributes her subsequent success to perseverance, innovation and a forward-thinking mindset. These qualities have enabled her to introduce groundbreaking services that have significantly benefited the organizations she has been part of.
Dr. Camejo's academic background laid a strong foundation for her professional achievements. She earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University in 1997. In addition, she has maintained her affiliation with several relevant organizations, including the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Dr. Camejo's contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Pandemic Year Award from Baptist Hospital in 2021, the Excellence in Leadership Award from the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and being named one of the Top 75 Key Pharmacy Officers in the Country. She also received the Alumni of the Year award from Nova Southeastern University and a Pharmacy Award from Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in 2017.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Camejo is deeply involved in civic activities. She serves as chair of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, demonstrating her commitment to community service and health care advocacy. Her dedication extends beyond her career as she enjoys being an avid photographer and traveling around the world.
