During the early stages of his career, he gained valuable expertise with Lockheed Martin as a business development, capture management, proposal lead, corporate internal auditor, and software engineer. Before establishing himself professionally, Mr. Shareef holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with honors from Tennessee State University, and notable certifications as a Project Management Professional and Six Sigma Black Belt.
Outside of his work, Mr. Shareef serves on the Foundation Board of Directors at his alma mater Tennessee State University, the Advisory Board of the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurialism, and Development at Clark Atlanta University, and Founder of The Education, Development, Growth and Excellence (E.D.G.E.) Foundation.
Given his professional achievements, Mr. Shareef has been honored numerous times for his contributions to Tennessee State University which includes the Reginald "Cool Mill" Shareef Scholarship, receiving Lockheed Martin's highest Nova Award, Aero Star Award and Lee Rhyant Award, the coveted Microsoft Circle of Excellence Gold Club Award and four time CPE Champion Award. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in being chosen as a leader at Microsoft when the company was expanding its operations in Atlanta, GA. In this capacity, he was responsible for shaping and driving Microsoft's expansion strategy in Atlanta, site launch, culture, community programs and initiatives, all while delivering an impeccable employee experience for over 2,000 personnel.
Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Mr. Shareef credits his success to his loving and supportive family, including his wife Shannon Shareef, daughters Jaida and Nadia Shareef, father, Reginald Bridges, his grandfather Ahmad Shareef, and his mother, Safiyya Shareef.
