Adjacent to this role, Dr. Molina has led an extensive career as a heart failure and transplant nurse practitioner at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System, since 2009. She also holds a current title as senior advanced practice provider in cardiovascular medicine, a role she commenced in 2022.
Dr. Molina's commitment to education and leadership is evident through her ongoing roles as a council member for the Alliance Innovation and Leadership since 2022 and as an international speaker for the International Council of nurses (ICN) Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Nurse Practitioner (NP/APN) Network Conference since 2012. Previously, she represented Penn Transplant Nursing at the University of Basel from 2013 to 2017.
Highly credentialed in her field, Dr. Molina earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in genome implementation science from Rutgers University in 2024. Recently, she earned post doctoral genomics certification of Achievement from Harvard Medical School. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing in adult gerontology acute care from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed post-master's coursework in nursing education at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she obtained a Master of Science in nursing, also from Rutgers University, in 2009.
Further advancing her skills, Dr. Molina's certifications include European Implementation Science from the European Implementation Network, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Level II from Rutgers Business School, and leadership and management certification from Wharton Online. She is board-certified as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and an acute care nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Demonstrating her commitment to the field, Dr. Molina's professional affiliations are numerous, including memberships with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Society of Nurse Scientists Innovators Entrepreneurs & Leaders, and the International Council of Nurses' NP/ANP Network. She is also active with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals: Greater Philadelphia Chapter, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplant, the American College of Nurse Practitioners, the Southeastern Pennsylvania Association of Critical Care, and the American Heart Association.
Additionally, she serves as a subject matter expert for the American College of Cardiology and is involved with the National Innovation Leadership Council for Organ Donation & Transplantation Alliance. Her volunteer work includes health clinic services for Victory Church and the American Heart Association in Philadelphia, and she has managed the Heart Transplant Database at the University of Pennsylvania since 2013.
