From 2017 to 2020, he was the area exploration manager for the area spanning Mauritania, Senegal (MSGBC Basin) to Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana, after serving as geology specialties manager in France. Other roles with the same company include exploration manager for Congo and Mahakam area in Indonesia, advisor for Angola and Congo exploration, chief geologist in Algeria, senior geological advisor in the United States and exploration geologist in Angola. Mr. Dal began his career as a geologist and petrophysicist with Total France and Elf Enterprise Caledonia.
Mr. Dal most notable career accomplishment was the exploration campaign in Suriname in 2021- 2022 under his leadership as area exploration manager. Through the project, his team not only made significant discoveries but also paved the way for a future oil field development in the country.
Mr. Dal's educational background has significantly contributed to his professional success. He studied petroleum geology at IFP School from 1995 to 1996 and holds a degree in geology from the National School of Geology, completed in 1993. He attributes his professional success to this solid educational foundation along with his passion for exploration and a pioneering spirit inherited from his parents.
As a further testament to his expertise in the industry, Mr. Dal holds membership in several industry-related organizations. He participates in the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and in the Energeo Alliance, and he is a member of the Houston Geological Society and of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
