Having begun his career at Covance Laboratories Limited, Mr. Whitlock held various roles between 2000 and 2009. Starting as a research assistant in the genetic and molecular toxicology laboratory, he progressed to quality assurance specialist in the quality assurance unit, supervisor of the Dose Analysis Laboratory, program coordinator for chemistry services, business operations manager for immunochemistry services, and finally, dose formulations manager. In 2009, Mr. Whitlock joined Amgen as a category manager in the global strategic sourcing organization. Over the next few years, he advanced to category senior manager and then director of research operations until 2015. Mr. Whitlock's work at Amgen involved strategic sourcing and procurement, where he honed his skills in managing complex projects and optimizing value for research and development initiatives.
Mr. Whitlock is highly educated. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry from George Mason University since 2003 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix since 2008.
One of Mr. Whitlock's most significant accomplishments was co-leading a team to establish Bristol-Myers Squibb's global center in India. This initiative resulted in the creation of multi-function innovation hub in Hyderabad, India. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Whitlock is actively involved with NonProfitConnect (NJ), demonstrating his commitment to civic-minded organizations.
