He currently serves as the principal engineer at Quest Defense in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he leads his team in developing strategies to solve complex technical problems and mentors emerging engineers. His expertise and dedication have earned him recognition within the industry, including a nomination for the Rockstar Award for engineering excellence by the vice president of engineering at General Electric for his work on designing the compressor for one of Boeing's latest airplane engines.
Mr. Musial began his career as an apprentice in an IT networking company, and engineer at Finnveden in 2004 before moving on to positions such as special processes engineer at Avio and specialist at Rosco Polska. In 2007, he joined the Warsaw Institute of Aviation as a design engineer, followed by roles at General Electric as lead engineer, team leader and staff engineer between 2008 and 2011. His tenure at General Electric was marked by significant achievements, including receiving the Early Career Award and being nominated for the Adamson Award for Outstanding Performance and Lasting Contribution in 2009.
Mr. Musial's career continued to flourish as he took on leadership roles at Advanced Aerospace Ltd. and Cascade Aerospace Engineering Ltd. in England from 2012 to 2015. He then served as Engine Development Program focal at Boeing in Everett, Washington, from 2015 to 2017 before joining Quest Global in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a senior lead engineer. In 2021, he transitioned to Quest Defense in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he has held various positions culminating in his current role as principal engineer.
Mr. Musial's educational background laid the foundation for his success. He earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in robotics and mechatronics from AGH University of Science in Krakow, Poland, in 2006. Throughout his career, he has been an active member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and holds certifications as a chartered engineer from the same organization since 2013 and EUR ING from FEANI since 2012. His attention to detail and ability to see the big picture have been instrumental in his success, attributes he honed during his university studies.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Musial has contributed to the field through editorial work with Gildia.pl and INTERIA.PL between 2004 and 2007. He has also received several awards recognizing his contributions to engineering excellence.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Musial enjoys spending time with his family, watching and reading science fiction, and building scale models.
