ASHBURN, VA, September 09, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Judith Lund Person with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Judith Lund Person celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on years of healthcare, program development, Medicare, and leadership expertise, Ms. Lund Person excels as the principal of the eponymous Lund Person & Associates, LLC, through which she consults with hospice and palliative care providers regarding hospice policy issues. Before establishing her company, she honed her expertise with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, where she was vice president of regulatory and compliance. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Lund Person gained valuable industry knowledge as the president and chief executive officer of Carolinas Center for Hospice and End of Life Care, where she worked for over two decades.
An expert in her field, Ms. Lund Person earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a concentration in social work from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1972. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing a Master of Public Health in health policy and administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and becoming certified in healthcare compliance through the Healthcare Compliance Association.
Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, Ms. Lund Person aligns herself with several industry organizations, including the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health, Phi Beta Kappa, the Healthcare Compliance Association, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. In conjunction with her work, Ms. Lund Person is involved in her community through the Loudoun Chorale.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Lund Person takes the most pride in being part of the small group that established Medicare Hospice Benefit in the early 1980s, leading a national campaign to ensure hospice providers were aware of regulations and helping to launch the Covid Information Center at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her passion for her work and personal experience with grief in the wake of her father's death. Looking forward, Ms. Lund Person aims to ensure hospice providers have the information needed to make the right decisions and provide high quality care for patients and families at the end of life.
