Before establishing herself with Sentient Psychotherapy, Ms. Ripplinger gained valuable expertise as a psychotherapist and clinical director in private practice with Citron Hennessey Therapy. Between 2015 and 2021, she provided counseling for a diverse clientele coping with depression, anxiety, stress, time management problems, a history of abuse, and relationship issues through the use of psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Ripplinger also gained valuable expertise with The Institute for Human Identity, Brooklyn College, and the Park Slope Center for Mental Health.
An expert in her field, Ms. Ripplinger earned a Bachelor of Arts in human development and gender studies from Empire State University in 2010 and a Master's degree in psychology and mental health counseling from Brooklyn College in 2014. Over the years, she also expanded her expertise by becoming EMDR certified, certified in acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction, somatic experiencing, psychedelic integration therapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, interpersonal neuropsychology, and LGBTQ clinical foundations.
