INDEPENDENCE, OH, September 24, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas N. Tyrrell has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Since 2010, Mr. Tyrrell has been a distinguished leader in nature-based education for underrepresented populations and retaining females in STEM. As the founder and managing director of CollaboRx, he has been a pro-bono member of or advisor to nearly 25 nature-based education non-profit boards, always focused on service to these groups.

In 2024, he founded the Nature for Health Collective, and as CEO has assembled over 15 nonprofit nature-based education organizations to build best practice curricula and utilize each other's facilities to provide these groups with significant reciprocal opportunities for nature-based outdoor experiences. Nature for Health Collective is focused on helping mitigate the Social Drivers of Health (SDoH) for underrepresented populations in PK-6th grade - when minds are most malleable and formative. Under his guidance, the collective is developing and selecting a significant curriculum, by focusing on a single objective to achieve higher success by involving more individuals. In addition to the educational leaders, the collective engages child psychologists, national and state lobbyists, legal, technology, marketing, finance, and RTA CEOs. The intent is to install the programs facilitating repetitive passion-building nature-based education in Northeast Ohio, and then implement their model in other cities and states, monetizing the value proposition, with the funding going back to the collaborating organizations enabling them to grow from over 250,000 children and securing them funding to allow travel to each other's unique forms of nature-based education.

Besides his work at CollaboRx, Mr. Tyrrell, from 2010 to 2018 was Founder, Chairman Emeritus and Board Member of Great Lakes Biomimicry (501(c)3), now a division of the Ohio Aerospace Institute (501(c)3), with a mission to create conditions for innovation through biomimicry, exploring opportunities, solving problems, and driving sustainability by harnessing the intelligence found in nature's 3.8 billion years of R&D. Mr. Tyrrell was a Co-Founder and Chairman of Segmint, an award-winning provider of data analytics driven marketing technology, which was acquired by Alkami in April 2022. He was a Co-Founder, Senior Advisor, and a board director of Glengary LLC, a venture catalyst organization, which combined a network of support services with investment capital.

Mr. Tyrrell also enjoyed an extensive background in the steel industry. He served as the chief executive officer of North American Steel Industry Companies from 1967 to 2000. During his tenure, he also worked for several other organizations in leading roles, including Bethlehem Steel Corporation in the sales office as a general product salesperson between 1968 and 1973 and then as a product specialist from 1973 to 1978. In preparation for his career, Mr. Tyrrell received a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts, business, and English from Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, Illinois.
