Ms. Tatum's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Alabama A&M University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit. She is also a proud graduate from the Manufacturing Leadership Development Program. Her fascination with understanding how things work and problem-solving from a young age propelled her to study mechanical engineering and pursue various roles in general assembly, quality, safety, engineering and maintenance within the automotive industry.
Ms. Tatum attributes her success to being a people person and working with the right individuals who have provided valuable learning experiences. Ms. Tatum is most proud of her involvement in launching a new facility where she and her team coordinated everything from installing new lines to hiring operators and transitioning business models over a weekend. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Tatum is actively involved in civic organizations. She serves on the board of the Leon M. Poe Scholarship Foundation and volunteers with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. These affiliations reflect her commitment to giving back to the community and supporting educational initiatives.
In her personal life, Ms. Tatum enjoys spending time with her family. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her role as an optimization manager and eventually return to recruiting when she reaches an upper-level management position.
