Additionally, he served as vice president and co-head of North America, West Coast, and the global head of Google programs from 2017 to 2021. During his tenure at EPAM Systems, he was instrumental in establishing and growing the company's presence in Silicon Valley. By leveraging his technical expertise and deep understanding of "Big Tech", Mr. Tomchenko transformed business relationships into strategic partnerships, expanding EPAM's footprint from a modest starting point to one that amassed hundreds of millions of dollars.
For his contributions at EPAM Systems, Mr. Tomchenko's team was honored with the CEO Award for their exceptional achievements and impact within the High Tech sector. Under Mr. Tomchenko's supervision, EPAM was recognized as the 2018 Google Cloud North American Breakthrough Partner of the Year. During his early days at EPAM Systems, he occupied several positions, such as senior director and head of North American delivery organization from 2015 to 2017, head and founder of the Engineering Excellence organization from 2013 to 2015, director of technology solutions from 2011 to 2013 and software engineering leader from 2005 to 2007. Mr. Tomchenko began his career as the founder of a local digital solutions studio in Minsk, Belarus, where he contributed from 2002 to 2005.
In addition to his professional roles, in 2019 Mr. Tomchenko co-founded Platform Good, a platform designed to empower individuals and companies to create and participate in fundraising fitness events such as walk-a-thons, marathons, and bike-a-thons that supported meaningful causes. The platform fostered engagement and community building, supporting over two million nonprofits worldwide and providing a comprehensive solution for individuals and corporations. Mr. Tomchenko's academic background includes a Master of Science in physics, which he earned in Minsk, Belarus, from Belarusian State University in 2006 after obtaining a bachelor's degree in physics from the same institution in 2004. Along with his degrees, he holds a diploma from Minsk Mathematical High School #19. He received certifications that furthered his professional skill set and excellence, including generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) certificate in 2023. Additionally, in 2018, he earned a Y Combinator Startup School certification.
