With an impressive career spanning over two decades, she currently holds the title of partner at KPMG US, where she has been serving since 2022. In this role, she works with private equity funds and large corporations on merger and acquisition mandates and restructuring mandates. She is responsible for leading business development on large client accounts, conducting financial diligence during transactions which ensures the accuracy of the quality of earnings / working capital, assisting in sale and purchase agreement negotiations, understanding the overall company strategy and guiding companies and boards to an exit via private markets or public markets such as an IPO.
Prior to her current position, Mrs. Ajibesin was the transaction advisory services practice leader at Anchin (Accounting firm) from 2018 to 2022. For the preceding four years, she served as a director at Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co., after contributing as a vice president at the same company from 2011 to 2013. Her early career included a managerial role at KPMG LLP.
Mrs. Ajibesin's educational background laid a strong foundation for her successful career. She earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Lagos, which she obtained in 2002. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Ajibesin has been recognized for her contributions to the consulting industry, including being named one of the Top Women Leaders of New York for two consecutive years (2023 & 2024) and one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Mergers & Acquisitions in 2021 and 2022. She was also honored as one of the Top USA Women Leaders and Dealmakers by Global M&A Network in 2021 and is a three-time recipient of the Most Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting Award by Crain's New York Business.
In addition to her professional achievements, Mrs. Ajibesin is actively involved in several industry-related organizations. She is a member of CHIEF, the International Society of Female Professionals, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Black Accountants, the Association for Corporate Growth, and Women We Admire (Women Leaders of New York). She has served on boards and is currently the Co-Vice Chair of the Board of The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) and a board member of the African Ancestry BRG at KPMG.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Ajibesin enjoys traveling, mentoring, impact investing, innovating and spending time with family and friends.
