Having begun her career in dentistry in 2008, Ms. Palmeri began her career as a Texas State Board registered dental assistant at Your Perfect Smile Dentistry in Kemah, Texas. She later joined Galveston County Health District as a dental assistant/front office receptionist from 2009 to 2012. Ms. Palmeri's journey continued at Castle Dental Inc., where she served as a lead dental assistant between 2012 and 2016. She also found success as a traveling specialty assistant at Pacific Dental Services from 2016 to 2021 and as a specialty back-office supervisor between 2021 and 2023.
Instrumental in her career progression, Ms. Palmeri earned an Associate of Science from San Jacinto College in 2020, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University in 2022. She began her collegiate studies in dental clinical sciences at the Texas School of Business-Friendswood in 2007. In 2024, she was recognized as a Graduate Safety Professional by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Ms. Palmeri's dedication to education is further exemplified by her pursuit of a master's degree in occupational health and safety and environmental management, which she currently balances alongside her full-time job, multi-volunteering roles, a loving partner, and caring for her fur babies.
Ms. Palmeri's expertise in leadership and safety is further demonstrated through her active membership in the American Society of Safety Professionals, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the National Safety Council. She also served as the Secretary and Advisory Board Member for the Baldwin SHRM student chapter, as well as holding multiple chair positions in her local San Antonio – South Texas ASSP Chapter.
Outside her professional life, Ms. Palmeri is actively involved with civic-minded organizations such as the American Society of Safety Professionals and participates in numerous community outreach initiatives throughout her region, including serving as a commencement advocate leader, judging a panel in the Student Safety Engineering Olympics, and working with the San Antonio Safe Kids Organization, among many other volunteer opportunities. Her achievements include awards from the National Honor Society and the Omega Nu Lambda National Honor Society. With a strong commitment to personal and professional growth, Ms. Palmeri is enthusiastic about continuing her career journey and envisions taking on more advanced leadership roles while maintaining her dedication to volunteer work and outreach efforts.
