Affiliated with the utility since 2001, Mr. Dooley previously served as the interim chief executive officer in 2023, where he demonstrated his capability to lead during transitional periods. He also served as the operations manager from 2018 to 2023, where he played a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and reliability. Earlier, Mr. Dooley was a line superintendent for 10 years beginning in 2008, managing the maintenance and repair of the cooperative's electrical infrastructure, and was a journeyman lineman between 2001 and 2006. Leveraging his former success, he came from Victory Electric Cooperative Association in Kansas as a journeyman lineman from 1994 to 2001. This early experience laid a strong foundation for Mr. Dooley's future roles and fueled his passion for the electric utility industry.
Mr. Dooley is pursuing an associate degree in business management at Chippewa Valley Technical College. He has held a certificate of completion in electrical linework through Bismarck State College since 1994. Adding to his professional prowess, Mr. Dooley is an active member of the Saint Croix Valley Home Builders Association.
Mr. Dooley's civic involvement includes serving on the advisory committee for the line worker program at Chippewa Valley Technical College for over a decade and on the advisory committee for the Wisconsin State Apprenticeship Program for just as long. He also donates to political action committees and participates in various other committees, showcasing his dedication to community service and professional development.
Enthusiastic about becoming more involved in legislative matters within Wisconsin, Mr. Dooley also plans to travel more frequently to Washington, D.C., to understand how bills impact small cooperatives like Saint Croix Electric Cooperative. By engaging in lobbying efforts, he aims to convey the long-term benefits of legislative decisions to cooperative members, helping them recognize how their votes can directly affect their lives.
