Her experience and expertise have guided her to produce some of the most unique and rare specialty coffees in the world. She is the founder and President of the California Coffee Collective Inc., a processing, marketing, and sales operation built to support coffee growers in the Southern California region. Additionally, she directs and manages Tate Enterprises, and Rancho Filoso, LLC, a commercial citrus and avocado operation.
Her experience in farming is widely recognized, and she holds a variety of leadership roles within the agriculture industry. She maintains a position on the California Citrus Advisory Committee, making recommendations to the Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture regarding matters pertaining to the citrus industry. She is the Vice Chair of the Ventura County Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee, advising the County Board of Supervisors on agriculture issues. Ms. Tate is a member of the board of directors of California Citrus Mutual, Saticoy Lemon Association, the Ventura County Chapter of California Women for Agriculture, and J. M. Sharp Company.
Pivotal in Ms. Tate's successful journey in agriculture and business management was her academic background, which began with a bachelor's degree in agribusiness with a focus on farm and ranch management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She subsequently earned a Master of Public Administration from Walden University, which equipped her with advanced skills in organizational management and public policy.
A camp counselor at heart, Ms. Tate's career began with a focus on non-profit youth programs. She served as a senior program director at Simi Valley Family YMCA and as a Boys & Girls Club branch director, where she was responsible for developing and implementing programs that benefited families and children within the community.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Soury is actively involved in civic organizations. She is a dedicated Cub Scout leader, and active member of the Rotary Club of Santa Paula where she chairs the Christmas Basket program, a community service project ensuring that the most disadvantaged families within her the city receive food and toys during the holidays.
In her personal life, Ms. Tate is devoted to her husband, two sons, and her martial arts training. Her ability to balance a thriving career with active participation in civic activities reflects her strong leadership qualities and commitment to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.
