Before accepting his leadership position at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc., Mr. Curtis excelled as a territory manager at Eastman Kodak Company in Mobile, Alabama, from 1993 to 2002. During this period, he honed his management skills and developed strategies that significantly contributed to the company's regional growth. Mr. Curtis also garnered success in sales at Quality Printing and Office Supplies in Mobile, Alabama between 1984 and 1993, where he laid the foundation for his expertise in customer relationships.
Mr. Curtis's professional journey began with his service in the U.S. Navy from 1979 to 1983. This experience instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and dedication, qualities that have been pivotal throughout his career. His military background gave him a unique perspective on leadership and teamwork, which he has applied effectively in his subsequent roles. Following his exit from the military, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from the University of South Alabama in 1986. Mr. Curtis also was a Director in the Student Government and an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi – the professional business fraternity. After graduation, he served as Director of the Alumni Chapter.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Curtis supports several civic-minded organizations, some of which include St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tunnel to Towers, The New Orleans Women and Children's Shelter, and directly with individuals. His commitment to these causes reflects his dedication to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
Throughout his career, Mr. Curtis has consistently been recognized as a top performer, receiving the Gauntlet Award and ranking number one or two nationally for 13 of the last 15 years, culminating with number one nationally for the last five years. He attributes much of his success to his relentless drive to excel, client focus, and setting high personal expectations that have become the standard for his team.
As Mr. Curtis prepares for his future, he plans to reduce his work commitments to pursue personal interests and spend more time with his family, including his wife Jeannie and sons Jacob and Joshua.
