Having begun her career in nursing in 2004, Ms. Ray was acquired by Wake Forest Baptist Health (now Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist), where she worked as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. She joined Inova Fairfax Hospital in 2009, continuing her role in the Emergency Department. In 2010, Ms. Ray served at Brooke Army Medical Center under the U.S. Department of Defense, further honing her skills in high-pressure environments.
Continually progressing, Ms. Ray transitioned to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in 2011 as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse before moving to Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in the department of health services, Los Angeles County, in 2012. She also garnered expertise working per diem with Approved Nursing Solutions from 2013 to 2017 and as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at College Medical Center between 2015 and 2018.
In 2018, Ms. Ray began teaching as a nursing clinical instructor at Stanbridge University. For five years, she found great reward in training the next generation of health care professionals. Concurrently, Ms. Ray worked as a Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse with Symons Ambulance and then with Ambulnz until 2022.
Ms. Ray's academic journey began with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Surry Community College in North Carolina in 2004. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2020. Besides her degrees, Ms. Ray received numerous professional credentials, including ventilator certification from Montefino Ventilator Training under the California Department of Developmental Services, certification as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) from the Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing, care of the critically ill adult and hemodynamic monitoring credentials from Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support from National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and accreditation as an advanced cardiovascular life support experienced provider, in basic life support for health care providers and pediatric advanced life support from the American Heart Association.
Ms. Ray is a professional member of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants and the American Heart Association. Beyond these affiliations, she is actively involved in civic organizations, such as Parents of Autistic Children, as a mother of an Autistic child.
Eager for the future of her career in health care, Ms. Ray looks forward to building her Legal Nurse Consulting business while continuing to help patients and improve health care standards. She is also pursuing a Master's Degree in Nursing Education from Walden University.
