An expert in her field, Ms. Freese holds a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in elementary education from Hofstra University, as well as a Master of Library Science from Long Island University Post. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she aligns herself with the Baldwin Civic Association, the NCLA, the American Library Association, the Woman's Advance Club of Baldwin, the International Honor Society in Education, Beta Phi Mu, and the Nassau County Library Association.
Outside of her professional commitments, Ms. Freese is a dedicated community member, serving as a Sunday school teacher, librarian, and lector at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Her contributions to various organizations, including the Business and Professional Women of Nassau County, the Professional Women of Nassau County, and the Nassau County Library Association's Academic and Special Libraries Division, inspire others to give back.
Ms. Freese's professional achievements have not gone unnoticed. She has been honored multiple times, including receiving a Distinguished Service Award from St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a Twentieth Century Award for Achievement from the International Biographical Centre. Her most cherished recognition, however, is being named Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women of Nassau County. Despite these accolades, Ms. Freese takes the most pride in establishing a library for the Wayside Home School for Girls in Valley Stream residents in 1993.
Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, Ms. Freese credits her success to her education and steadfast work ethic. Within the coming years, she intends to continue working and teaching at her local church for as long as possible.
