Dr. Kevin Cichocki to Be Honored by ECMC Lifeline Foundation

Distinguished clinician and health care leader receives recognition at event

WEST SENECA, NY, May 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The ECMC Lifeline Foundation has chosen Dr. Kevin Cichocki, D.C., as the Lifeline Chairman's Distinguished Service Honoree. He will accept the award at the annual Springfest banquet to be held May 16, 2009 in Buffalo. More than 640 members of the medical, professional, and business community are expected to attend the event to see him receive this honor.

"As immediate past chair of the ECMC Corporation Board of Directors, Dr. Cichocki is credited with transforming the medical center into a fiscally stable entity no longer dependent on the county for subsidies - thus saving jobs and hundred of millions of taxpayer dollars," said Gia Alessandra Coone, Executive Director of the ECMC Lifeline Foundation. "This financial security combined with a superior management team has given the hospital its current reputation as Western New York's medical center of excellence. As chairman, Dr. Cichocki guided the institution in negotiations with New York State's Berger Commission and the subsequent merger process with Kaleida Health while ensuring that the medical center and our staff were properly recognized in the new Great Lakes Health System."

"I was extraordinarily pleased Dr. Cichocki has been selected to receive the ECMC Lifeline Foundation award," said Paul Candino, CEO of Palladian Health. "He has the compassion to understand needs of patients and the acumen to ensure those needs are addressed on a large scale. His skills as a problem solver, negotiator, and bridge builder would be invaluable to any institution, but are critical to health care organizations going through historic change. This much deserved honor is a testament to his contributions to patient care. Palladian Muscular Skeletal Health is fortunate to have a founder with the vision of Dr. Kevin Cichocki."

"It is a great honor to receive this award and I look forward to continuing my work on ECMC's behalf," said Dr. Cichocki.

Springfest 2009 Benefitting ECMC Lifeline Foundation will be held on the evening of May 16, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.
