LONDON, ENGLAND, May 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Leopard Bar, adjoining the Palace Lounge at one of Red Carnation's 4 star hotels, The Rubens, is sure to be a popular addition to the new generation of Champagne bars that are springing up across London.
Conveniently, close to Victoria Station, and looking out over the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace, the location has much to recommend it. But the main attraction is the warm, inviting and intimate atmosphere that's more reminiscent of a private club than a public bar. The wood panelled walls, tall mirrors, African prints and elegant safari-chic design scheme echo the famous Leopard Room Bar at the sibling Geneva Hotel, Hotel d'Angleterre. This makes it the ideal venue for a romantic rendezvous, catching up on the gossip with a close friend or two, or an exclusive celebration.
There are 15 Champagnes to choose from, 11 of which are available by the flute. The main sponsor is Laurent Perrier however guests can also enjoy Dom Perignon, Louis Roederer Cristal, and Veuve Cliquot, plus a selection of classic Champagne cocktails. The select wine list features a number of the finest vintages from the multi-award winning Bouchard Finlayson estate in Western Cape, South Africa, as well as some exceptional wines from France, and an excellent Whiskies, Cognacs and Armagnacs.
The main focus is on the drinks but there's also a mouth-watering selection of light meals and snacks including open roast beef sandwiches with caramelised red onions, Rocket leaves & horseradish cream, crusty rolls with Cornish lobster, avocado, tomato & chive mayonnaise with coleslaw, and Mediterranean Shrimp cocktail. For those that really want to push the boat out there is Sevruga Caviar on toasted Poilane bread with chopped onions and capers.
General Manager of The Rubens at The Palace Hotel, Malcolm Hendry, comments that "The Leopard Bar is warm and inviting, private and exclusive. Guests will enjoy the intimate environment where they can indulge and enjoy their favourite tipple in a relaxed and sophisticated space."
