Only 2% of iPhone Users Have Cell Phone Insurance

    DELRAY BEACH, FL, May 28, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The innovative cell phone insurance site Ensquared recently conducted an iPhone survey in Florida, Toronto, New York and Dallas covering 5000 iPhone owners and subscribers on pertinent cell phone insurance issues.

Said Gordon Polovin, Operations Director of Ensquared: "The survey was motivated by the fact that the iPhone accounted for close to 50% of AT&T sales in the last quarter and the fact Apple declared that over 1 billion apps have been downloaded to date."

"Most of those surveyed," explained Polovin, "were not even aware that iPhone insurance was available in any form and had not been informed at time of sale. Those that did, complained that Apple's Iphone Care product cannot be considered as insurance and is in fact is not comprehensive at all and is really only an extended warranty." Polovin added "What's more, the consumers surveyed believed their was only one iPhone insurance source and has to be taken up with Apple Care at $69 for one year with some extra help desk support. Generally this was seen as no bargain and a hassle as AT&T do not provide protection in a seamless way."

Ensquared are perplexed as to why iPhone insurance is on the backburner whilst the iPhone is raging ahead in sales and applications.
