NEWPORT, RI, May 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Just in time for summer, the legendary surf and skate shop, WaterBrothers, is celebrating it's reopening on May 23 and introducing a new line of clothing and apparel for the hardcore surfer lifestyle. The shop was one of the first surf and skate shops on the East Coast and has been a symbol of New England surfing culture for almost four decades. With a reputation spanning the globe, WaterBrothers is known for its frequent pilgrimages by world famous surfers, skaters, and rock stars.
To help launch the line, WaterBrothers has partnered with Fresh Mode, a Rhode Island-based custom screen printer and embroiderer. Fresh Mode will handle the printing of a variety of surf and skate apparel, including t-shirts, pants, sweatshirts, for men, women, and children, using fashion soft inks. "WaterBrothers is a big deal around here and there is sure to be a huge demand," said Jake Fahrenholz, owner of Fresh Mode. "But because we are local and do our printing on-site, we have a very fast turn-around time."
Fresh Mode will be printing over 30 original designs by East Coast surf, skate, and rock and roll legend, Sid "The Package" Abruzzi. The Godfather of New England surf and skate unveiled the WaterBrothers line at last January's Surf Expo and the brand was quickly picked up by stores throughout New England and beyond. "We are branding WaterBrothers coast to coast, and soon global," says Sid, adding, "Our clothing line will grow day by day."
