COLUMBUS, OH, June 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Logan Creek Construction has commenced construction of a new 121,000 sq. ft. distribution center in the Hawk Acres Enterprise Place in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. The owner, Harmon Family Development Company, of Columbus, Ohio, purchased a 14-acre site at the Hawk Acres Enterprise Place and has secured a long-term lease for the project to a large international medical supply company. This project will result in at least 65 new jobs with a capital investment exceeding $7 million.
Ed Harmon, president of Harmon Family Development, expressed his excitement for the project, "We have been seeking a new location for a distribution center in this logistics corridor for over two years. Lebanon provides an excellent work force, ready infrastructure, and a central location to the distribution points that will be served." He anticipates completing the building by January 2010.
Charles Blankenship, president of the Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation, said "We are pleased to have this facility as the first occupant in Hawk Acres. The company is an asset to the business park and the county economy." Hawk Acres Enterprise Place is a 119-acre business park, opened last November.
Project financing was provided by Susquehanna Bank of Lancaster. "We appreciate the opportunity to be involved in projects like this, which create additional jobs in the communities that we serve," said Senior Vice President and Commercial Relationship Manager Steve VanDuzer for Susquehanna Bank. "Susquehanna is committed to helping businesses finance their growth and build the economic strength of our local communities."
