MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, July 06, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments mature, there is growing recognition that effective governance is central to ensuring that the enterprise SOA does not dissolve into disparate and redundant Web services silos. IT architects and developers who want to gain insight into governance best practices are invited to attend "SOA Governance." This interactive, online class is being offered at no cost as part of the WSO2 SOA Summer School. It will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.
The two-hour SOA Governance class will provide a comprehensive overview, beginning with an introduction to core SOA governance concepts around people, policies and processes, and then reviewing approaches to design-time and run-time governance. The session also will cover services in a governance environment, predefined patterns for governance, and how to address service and resource lifecycles. Additionally, attendees will learn about the use of the governance dashboard, repository resources, metadata, versioning, permissions and notifications.
