Chris is the author of two UK best-sellers. Basically it is a light hearted look at a family from the South wales valleys who's lifestyle and adventures are somewhat reminiscent of The Simpson's.

Some 50,000 people out of an estimated worldwide listenership of 8 million, have become members of "The Chris Needs Friendly Garden Association " making it possibly the largest registered fan club for a radio show anywhere in the world.
Chris Needs is the patron of the Meriwther Lewis Memorial Eisteddfod Foundation. He is also, together with Catherine Zeta Jones, a patron of Amritsa International who have partnered with Americymru to stage the Festival in Portland.
