MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, July 13, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sure, mashups are fun, but they also have a valuable place in enterprise SOAs. The technique behind a mashup that sends instant messages whenever the surf is up can also be applied to a mashup that automatically warns enterprises about waves of customer complaints around a particular product.
IT architects and developers who want to gain insight into creating rich, enterprise mashups are invited to attend "Mashups for SOA." This interactive, online class is being offered at no cost as part of the WSO2 SOA Summer School program. It will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.
The two-hour Mashups for SOA class will introduce mashups as an enterprise integration tool and show how they can be used to mix and match everything from audio to Web pages, RSS feeds, blogs and databases to create powerful service compositions within SOAs. The session also will demonstrate various technologies being applied to enterprise mashups, such as the ECMAScript for XML (E4X), explain practical approaches to mashups, and share cool mashup examples.
