How It Works
Nikaeen refers patients to a laboratory for the dental imaging, where a scan of a patient takes less than 10 seconds. The data gathered from the scan can be quickly transmitted to Nikaeen via computer.

Although used by dentists and orthodontists, the system is particularly useful in treating orthodontic patients because it provides a multiple projection perspective that helps orthodontists see the relationships between the teeth and neighboring anatomy.

Better, more accurate information has the potential to prevent surgery down the road, or to lessen the surgery's invasiveness when it is altogether unavoidable, Nikaeen said.
