MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, July 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- C++ remains one of the most popular languages for developing high-performance business applications across multiple platforms. However, service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions have been predominantly based on Java. Bridging that divide to combine the performance of C++ applications with the agility of SOAs can be a game changer for many enterprises.
IT architects and developers who are interested in learning how to integrate C++ applications into their SOAs are invited to attend "C++ in SOA." This interactive, online class is being offered at no cost as part of the WSO2 SOA Summer School program. It will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.
The two-hour "C++ in SOA" class will provide an introduction to implementing Web Services with C++, including the concepts around contract-first development, working with the Web Services Description Language (WSDL), code generation, and REST-style architectures. The session also will explain techniques for interoperating in heterogeneous environments, such as those using Java and Microsoft .NET. Additionally attendees will learn about reliable messaging; how to send, receive and cache attachments; and how to ensure the security of enterprise Web services.
