Acadian Monitoring Services Partners with RSI, Adds VIDEOFIED to Central Station Offering to strengthen its Virtual Security Services

    LAFAYETTE, LA, October 16, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- VIDEOFIED is a wireless alarm system designed to detect and notify. It includes a MotionViewer, a motion sensor with an integrated camera that sends a video clip in conjunction with an alarm signal to verify an event or incident. Video verification decreases false alarm activations, making for a faster and more efficient response from law enforcement or other authorities and provides greater alarm monitoring to the consumer.

The VIDEOFIED system is modular and wireless, so it can be installed quickly and aesthetically. Each sensor communicates with the main unit by a two-way radio and is therefore completely independent. The camera's field of vision is synchronized with that of the motion sensor so that when the sensor detects movement, the camera is immediately activated. It then records a ten-second sequence that is instantly sent to the central station over an encrypted radio link.

The system runs solely on batteries that have a four-year lifetime, requiring minimal maintenance. Suitable for all surface types, the VIDEOFIED system can integrate up to 24 cameras in a single system.

Acadian Monitoring Services alarm centers are UL listed Central Stations located in Lafayette, La and Baton Rouge, La, with a fully redundant, bi-directional backup center in Austin, TX. The center has achieved Five Diamond Certification from CSAA and also holds a UL 2050 certification.
