Carsten Nicolai 'takes over Piazza del Plebiscito'

The second installation - called Pionier II - has hot air balloons floating above Piazza del Plebiscito with an accompanying sound transposition.

It is free for visitors to come and admire the spectacle and it is on show all day.

Over the past few years, some of the other artists to have displayed their work in the square include Jan Fabre, Michaelangelo Pistoletto, Jenny Holzer and Sol Lewitt.
