MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, December 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Once the January sales kick off, those staying in Cotswolds hotels may want an alternative to shopping in the new year, or simply a distraction from the crowded streets.
The Earth from the Air photographic exhibition could be the perfect way to spend a dreary January afternoon.
On show in Bath city centre, it is free to browse the pictures of stunning landscapes taken from above.
The installations comprise 120 floodlit photos arranged in a meandering street gallery that winds its way through the city centre's streets, passing both the Roman Baths and the Abbey along the way.
All the photos were taken by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and they detail the impact of human activity on the planet.
According to the official website, the photos comprise an "outstanding visual testimony to the world we live in today".
Designed to raise awareness over the issue of climate change, the exhibition is on display 24-hours a day, seven days a week and claims to be carbon neutral.
Originally conceived as a project to document the changing face of the earth's landscapes, the exhibition has received international acclaim and has been displayed in cities across the globe.
The photographer was awarded the Legion D'Honneur in France in recognition of his environmental work.
