Mime Artists Set To Descend On London For International Festival

The London International Mime Festival 2010 will have 15 companies from ten different countries, including Belgium, Italy, Russia, Denmark and Spain to entertain crowds.

People have plenty of time to organise their visit to the capital, as the festival takes place over a period of 19 days, from January 13th until the 31st.

Some of the highlights that may particularly intrigue fans who have not been to a mime performance before include Ockham's Razor, from the UK, who will be delighting audiences at the Royal Opera House from January 19th-21st.

They are an award-winning troop and according to Visit London, their latest production "revolves inside and around a giant wheel of wood and steel suspended seven metres in the air".

People may also want to take in shows from Switzerland's Zimmermann and de Perrot, Spanish group Circus Klezmer or Okidok from Belgium.

The other venues taking part in the festival are the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Southbank Centre and the Barbican, which is the largest multi-arts centre in Europe.
