Laughing Pizza Makes PBS Ratings Soar!

    NEW YORK, NY, December 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laughing Pizza--the real family band that makes original music kids and families can enjoy together--has just scored a larger slice of the Public Broadcasting pie. After driving the kids-block ratings up an astounding 45% for Atlanta's PBA-30, Laughing Pizza has been added to Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) and its 32 million viewers.

The unusual scenario rolled out like this: Laughing Pizza music videos appeared regularly this year on Atlanta PBS as "Pizza breaks" between programming in both the Morning and Afternoon Kids Block. The station's ratings increased exponentially (45% and 42% respectively), so much so that the president of PBA-30 wrote a letter to his staff and other PBS stations, directly crediting Laughing Pizza, "I just have to say that we would not have had this same success without them." As a result, 12 additional PBS stations added the band, including Georgia Public Broadcasting, the third largest PBS station in the country. Laughing Pizza is now delivering for 30 PBS markets stretching from San Diego to Philadelphia and Toronto to New Orleans.

Laughing Pizza is composed of mom and dad, Lisa and Billy (award winning songwriters with a #1 Billboard Dance Hit and credits with the Olsen Twins) and their 14-year old daughter Emily (a multi-instrumentalist who plays flute, drums, guitar, bass, and piano. They have appeared on The Today Show and have performed at the White House for the past three consecutive years, most recently with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Laughing Pizza is also the proud recipient of six Parents' Choice Awards.

Their live performances are energetic, interactive, dance-filled shows that get kids and parents up and moving, and have created a loyal following across the country.
