PARIS, FRANCE, February 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- France may be a considerable distance away form South America, but people staying at accommodation in Paris will still have the opportunity to embrace the Latin spirit at one event taking place at the end of the month.
On Sunday February 28th, the Musee du Quai Branly will play host to a Brazilian carnival that aims to bring a taste of the party atmosphere to Paris.
As the venue's official website points out, few cities can rival Rio when it comes to putting on a party and this event in Paris creates a "colourful and festive atmosphere with musicians and dancers" that aims to capture the essence of the festival.
The event takes place throughout the museum and is free for people to take part in as they have the opportunity to meet the musicians and dancers from the group Go Samba.
According to organisers, Brazilian carnivals are considered to be "the biggest festivals on the planet" and in South America, people celebrate the occasion with their own customs depending on their local traditions.
Also coming to the Musee du Quai Branly this month is an exhibition entitled La Fabrique des Images, which is on display from February 16th 2010 until July 17th 2011.
If you're heading to the Brazilian carnival this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotels Paris as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
