ROME, ITALY, March 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People who want to add a little culture to the city break to Rome may want to consider heading down to the Rome Foundation Museum, where an Edward Hopper showcase it being displayed.
Running until June 13th, the exhibition will include masterpieces by the American artist such as South Carolina Morning, A Woman in the Sun and Pennsylvania Coal Town.
Hopper, who lived from 1882 to 1967, is widely celebrated as one of the most important painters of the 20th century and more than 160 of his works are on display here, many of which were transferred from a show in Milan.
One particular part of the show has been highlighted by AFP, in which guests at Rome hotels can take part in a reconstruction of the artist's Nighthawks painting.
This interactive show allows people to go and sit down in the bar from that picture, with models all around representing the customers and barman.
If people are intrigued to see some of Hopper's work, they should travel to the Rome Foundation Museum, which can be reached by underground or various bus routes.
Tickets cost EUR10 (GBP9), with the venue opening at 10:00 (local time) and closing at 15:00 on Mondays, 20:00 from Tuesday to Friday and 22:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
