TURIN, ITALY, March 20, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Giocoteatro international theatre festival will be a treat for any travellers holidaying in Turin who like nothing better than seeing a set of actors treading the boards.
The event is being held from April 9th to 25th and offers people of all ages a chance to see some quality productions while they are staying at Turin hotels.
Artistic director at the festival Graziano Melano highlighted how one week of the event is dedicated to people aged 18 to 30, with performances such as Stones sure to be popular.
He explained that there will also be workshops taking place that will teach participants new acting techniques before letting them take to the stage with their final work.
Mr Graziano noted that there will be installations set up at the Casa del Teatro Ragazzo and Young - the venue of the event - which will see about 100 different artists getting involved with a project that could provoke and stimulate other people in their own work.
While many of the shows being performed will be by Italian actors, there will also be an international presence at the festival.
"It will be interesting to compare the styles of poetry from various directors and actors who interpret the cultural resonances from different geographical areas," remarked Mr Graziano.
For a full agenda of the shows, travellers should check the festivals website, with most performances costing EUR10 (GBP9) and tickets available at the box office of the theatre.
"The Giocoteatro is likely to be popular," said Jess Reading, head of marketing at LateRooms. "LateRooms strongly recommends people considering attending to book hotel Torino as soon as possible."
