SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, March 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jazz pop megastar Jamie Cullum will be returning to Australia as part of his current world tour next month.
Following an appearance at the National Theatre in Melbourne on April 16th, the pianist and vocalist is due to play two concerts at the Basement in Sydney on April 19th and 20th.
People using accommodation in Sydney can expect the performer, who recently married model Sophie Dahl, to run through a collection of new songs and old favourites at the gig.
Cullum is touring in support of his fifth studio album The Pursuit, which features recent single I'm All Over It and a cover of Don't Stop the Music by R&B star Rihanna.
The 30-year-old is known for performing his own interpretations of popular songs, having also covered hits by artists such as Kanye West, Radiohead, The White Stripes and Justin Timberlake at previous concerts.
He was named the UK's biggest selling jazz artist of all time in 2003, following the success of his first major label album Twentysomething.
Situated at Circular Quay in Sydney's central business district, the Basement has been staging live music events for over 30 years.
Artists who have previously graced the club's famous stage include Herbie Hancock, James Morrison, Taj Mahal and Prince.
