GROVE CITY, OH, May 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Young professionals from around Columbus are joining the fight against hunger at a networking fundraiser hosted by the Mid-Ohio Foodbank (www.midohiofoodbank.org) on May 6. The event will benefit the Foodbank's 2010 Operation Feed Campaign and assist with meeting the goal of providing six million meals to Central Ohioans this year. Sponsors of the event include 614 Media Group and Best Light Video.
"Operation YP: Dinner on a Dime" will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Foodbank headquarters at 3960 Brookham Drive in Grove City. Young professionals will have a chance to network with each other and Foodbank/Operation Feed leadership from 6 to 6:30; and Brian Murphy, Bob Evans Farms senior culinary support manager, will follow with cooking tips/demonstrations from 6:30 to 7:30 on how to make dinner on a dime - using items a family might receive from a food pantry.
Guests will be able to sample prepared dishes while enjoying music by DJ Moxy. A cash bar will be available, and a suggested donation of $5 or five canned goods is appreciated.
