Realityworks Products on the Utah State Board of Education Recommended Resources List

    EAU CLAIRE, WI, June 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Realityworks, Inc., the leader in education simulation technology, recently gained adoption on the Utah State Recommended Instructional Materials Systems (RIMS) Book List for schools. Under the adoption Realityworks' RealCare program has been approved for use in Child Care, Child Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Introduction to Health Science, and Young Parents/Grads classes.

The RealCare Program pairs a complete curriculum with an infant simulator to give students a real-life experience of caring for a baby.

Gaining adoption means that educators can use state funds targeted for instructional materials to be used to purchase the company's technology. In all, Utah's state Department of Education has adopted six Realityworks programs for use within Career and Technical Education areas of Family and Consumer Science and Health Sciences for grade levels 9-12.

In addition, Realityworks programs and infant simulators used to educate students about Shaken Baby Syndrome, Prenatal Drug Exposure, and Prenatal Alcohol Exposure - as well as a pregnancy simulation program used in conjunction with the firm's Pregnancy Profile vest - have been adopted for use in Family and Consumer Science classes and Health Sciences for the same grade levels.
