FORT WORTH, TX, July 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The votes have been counted and the battle lines - or, in this case, the tables - have been set. While it's not exactly a wild-west showdown in Cowtown, Fort Worth Texas Magazine's Top Chef Challenge is pitting the city's top chefs - including Franson Nwaeze of Chef Point Cafe - against each other to see who's #1.
Yes, Chef Franson is among the chefs voted into the top 10 by Fort Worth Texas Magazine readers and the Top Chef Panel. He will compete in a culinary challenge against four other chefs in the second semifinal round scheduled for August 5th, so c'mon out and cheer him to victory! The two semifinal winners will advance to the Top Chef Challenge championship scheduled for September 9th to determine Fort Worth's best chef. The Top Chef Challenge will be judged by a panel that includes Chef Tim Love.
The semifinal round challenge will be held at the Morrison Showroom, located at 5001 Bryant Irvin Road North in Fort Worth from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on August 5th. Silverwest Limousine will provide bus service from the Lockheed Martin Recreation Association, which is two blocks south of the Morrison Showroom on Bryant Irvin Road. There is no charge to attend the semifinal challenges, which will feature complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, but everyone must RSVP to [email protected].
Chef Franson, one of the few in the Top Chef Challenge without any formal culinary chef training, would really appreciate having plenty of fan support in the Top Chef Challenge semifinals. Rumor has it that the iron chef plans to serve some of his favorite dishes from Chef Point Cafe - like the famous bread pudding - to those in attendance.
