The adoption certification went into effect June 1, 2010 and expires in May of 2016.
Under the department's adoption the company's RealCare Program, Basic Infant Care Curriculum and Infant Simulator can be used in grades nine through 12 for early childhood, family and consumer sciences, parenting, and child development classes.
In addition, Realityworks programs and infant simulators for Shaken Baby Syndrome, Prenatal Drug Exposure, and Prenatal Alcohol Exposure; and pregnancy simulation program used in conjunction with the firm's Pregnancy Profile vest can also be used in those subjects, as well as in Foundations of Health Sciences courses for the same grade levels. Also adopted in the Foundations of Health Science area was the firm's ySTART tobacco use prevention and Prevent Pak addiction simulators.
