The SPOTBUY.TV service focuses on television deals in the 210 markets, but is expandable to include network and syndication advertising, says Harding. The service extends beyond traditional spot time offers of ten, fifteen, and thirty-second ads to also include direct response, paid programming, webcasting, product placement, and podcasting advertising availabilities.

SPOTBUY.TV is compatible with the eBiz, XML and Ad-ID standards established by Television Bureau of Advertising and the American Association of Advertising Agencies, eliminating multiple entries of the same information.

"The deal starts with a buyer who has money to spend in a specific market," says Harding. "The buyer transmits an electronic request for avails. Media outlets matching the specifications are notified, respond with inventory, negotiate with the buyer, and close the deal--all online."

SPOTBUY.TV expedites advertising to air with its integrated FTP download capabilities. Once an order is confirmed, media outlets can link to and download the commercial directly into master control servers.
